Sharp BE-2530A

Validations
One line print validation which includes time, date, teller number, transaction number, transaction type, bank initials, and amount. This validation is printed on each document passed through the printer. You will know what operator performed each specific transaction, and whether or not the transaction was done correctly. Should and operator be out of balance you will be able to determine which transaction was done incorrectly.

With the time on each validation, the audit trail can assist with stop payments and any time sensitive documents like loan payments. This can be quite helpful if there is any question about when a transaction was performed.

Account Numbers
The account number field on traditional Sharp BE-2500 series units is limited at 11 digits. With the BE-2530A this has been expanded from 11 to 16 digits. This is especially helpful when indexing credit card numbers for cash advances, or longer loan account numbers.

Denomination Printing
Provides a detail report for each transaction involving Cash. This report will print by denomination how Cash came in or went out for each client. The obvious benefit is the clarity of the audit tape. Should there be any question as to what was received or how the teller performed the transaction, a glance back at the audit tape will answer any questions. This function is especially valuable when processing night deposits.

Cash Out Entry by Denomination allows you to enter a pre-set limit at which point your staff must show Cash Back transactions by denomination. If this limit is set to $0.00, all transactions are automatically placed into the cash by denomination mode. This limit can be programmed at any dollar amount. This will create an audit trail showing how the money was given back to the customer. Should an operator short, or over pay the customer, the unit will emit a warning tone and will not allow the teller to continue the transaction.

Cash In Entry by Denomination provides a detail report for each transaction involving Cash In. This function is invoked by the operator. As cash is entered, a running subtotal is maintained on the display. Once all cash has been entered the teller can except or deny the total amount reported. Upon acceptance, a detail by denomination is printed on the audit tape, with a grand total of all cash received.

Optional Security Codes
When the security function is activated you will be required to index a predetermined code prior to entering the programming functions. These codes are different for each unit and cannot be copied. This feature will prevent unauthorized programming changes.

I.R.S. Report
Tracks any cash transaction over $3,000.00 and provides teller prompting for any cash transaction over $10,000.00. Included in the report print out are sequential transaction number, account number, amount, type of validation, total number of items and total dollar amount of all items in report. The dollar ranges in this report are programmable to meet the changing needs of your institution.

Daily Time Management Report
Includes teller productivity and customer activity analysis. This report will provide total customer count for a given day and for a preset time range, number of transactions processed, total amount of time spent doing transactions by teller and total number of validations.

Item Listings
All Cash Ins, Outs, and Cash Checks are stored in separate item buffers. These listings are printed in the order of occurrence and can speed the balancing process if there is a problem.

Account Number Holdover
Account number holdover allows tellers to index the account number only once and by a simple key depression have the account number validate on demand. This keeps the teller from having to reindex the account number should the client require it to be printed on his receipt. This increases efficiency while reducing the risk of error.

Amount Tendered
Allows tellers to prove transactions at the window while they are doing them. For example: a customer brings you $1000.00 in cash and checks and wants to make multiple deposits and a loan payment. With this feature you can make the deposits and as you proceed you can take a subtotal of the amount remaining. This allows the customer and teller to be aware of the available money and adjust deposits or payments as they continue. This feature will balance the transaction.

Transaction Separation
The End Key provides a clean separation of transactions by customer. This makes for a clear and easy to read audit trail.

Cash In Drawer
Tellers will have access to their current cash in drawer with the touch of a button. In addition, a preset warning can be set; if exceeded, the unit will display a warning indicator. This feature will not prevent continued operation, but will make the teller aware that they have exceeded their cash in drawer limit.

Transaction Totals
Eight department totals will allow tracking of virtually all transactions. For example, you may want to track Checking Deposits, Savings Deposits, Cash Ins, Cash Outs, Cash Checks, Payments, Miscellaneous items and your beginning cash. The Grand Totals report will then provide you with the total number of transactions done on each validation key and give you the total dollar amount for each transaction key.

List/Balance function
Total up multiple cash checks for a single customer as you validate. Upon depression of the balance key the total of all checks will be displayed.
